Discipleship at Hills
The aim of Lifequip is:
Equipping People to Walk with God and Live the Kingdom Life He Intended.
Walking with God - means loving all of Him (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) with all of us (head, heart and Hands) and living in the Kingdom (living under the reign and rule of God)
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
- Mark 12:30
Helping people to love all of God with all of them and live the Kingdom life He intended
Lifequip has a triune approach where all of us – our head, our hearts and our hands are grown and equipped to walk with God.
Kingdom lifequip begins from a place of Love - encountering the love of God, this is the core of the Lifequip Wheel.
Inner Wheel – Encounter with the Father's love
Knowing - who/experiencing what the Father/Son/Holy Spirit are like, Intimacy - with the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit, Communicating - with God - praying and hearing His voice, Identity - knowing who I am in God, Worship - Adoration - loving Him back, Living For God- living in His Kingdom.
The Outer Wheel – Living the Kingdom Life God intended
Equip - Kingdom Knowledge - Living in the Word and Kingdom Character, Embrace -Belonging in the Kingdom - Belonging to the family of God, Empower - Living in the Kingdom - Living and serving in the Kingdom, Engage - Bringing the Kingdom - Engaging with the world.
The main goal of Lifequip (discipleship) at Hills, is to help people love all of God with all of themselves and to live the kingdom life He intended.
For people to do this, all of them i.e. their Spirit, their Soul (mind/emotions) and their Body – needs to be discipled.
So part of the Lifequip (discipleship) process is the healing of our spirit, mind and emotions and this needs to happen at the same time as we learn about God and grow in our relationship with him. Even if we have walked with God over many years, there are often issues that arise that need healing.
